iSpykee, the free open-source Spykee iPhone App
Spykee is essentially a remote-controlled wi-fi
webcam that you can drive around, similar to an R/C car.
iSpykee is a free open-source application and service
that lets you control and interact with your Spykee wi-fi robot
from anywhere using your iPhone or iPod Touch.
In order to use iSpykee, you need a Spykee robot.

Ever since getting Spykee, I have wanted to control the robot directly with my own software. Unfortunately, the manufacturer of Spykee, a French company named Meccano, has not yet (as of October 2009) released any protocol specifications, libraries or other such. There have been a few closed-source applications released for Windows, but as far as we know, the iSpykee Spykee iPhone app is the first application available in source code form that implements the rather obtuse (binary) communication protocol of the robot.
